Rev. R Scott Keehn grew up in Rochester Minnesota. He attended St Olaf College and graduated with a degree in The Sociology of Religion. Keehn earned his Masters of Divinity degree from Eden Theological and has served 6 churches in Minnesota and Indiana.

Currently, he is the Pastor of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Alexandria, a church with a real heart for addressing the diverse physical and spiritual needs of the community. His work varies greatly, from working hands on with people with serious physical needs, to shepherding youth through adults on a lifelong spiritual journey.

Pastor Keehn says, “The Diversity Resource Action Alliance is a breath of fresh air for me. We are a local group of educated, passionate and dedicated volunteers who understand the importance of embracing and fostering diversity, personally, in the home, workplace, community and world. When I consider the future, the limited number of years we are granted on this earth, I want my life to count for something. Working with the good folks of the DRAA gives my life added joy, meaning and purpose.”

Keehn has a particular passion around the issues of Religious Diversity. Pastor Keehn says,  “I sincerely believe that we are all spiritual beings seeking meaning and purpose in life. None of us has a corner on the market of truth. The church of Jesus Christ offers one viable pathway to God. Not to include other equally legitimate faith traditions in the conversation, means cutting ourselves off from their rich experiences and insights, all of which can further our own journey of faith. If our team is invited to work with your group or community of faith, trust that we will foster such open and fruitful conversation for the betterment of us all.”

Reverend Keehn has been married 35 years to Susan Keehn. He is the parent of a 29 year old son Jeremiah and his 15 year old internationally adopted daughter, Naomi.
